FACT: Most Americans aren't getting
enough fruits and vegetables in their daily diet.
According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's
dietary guidelines for Americans, everyone older than 2 should eat a minimum
of five servings of fruits and vegetables every day.
Yet, only about 28 percent of adults meet this goal. There are two ways
to increase your fruit and vegetable intake:
- If you have the time and inclination you could regularly consume
a fresh green salad.
Green salads can be served as a side dish or as a hearty main dish.
They can be quick, simple and easy to prepare or more elaborate, with
complicated preparation steps.
When put together with the right ingredients, green salads can be a
powerhouse of nutrition.

- Take one level tablespoon (15 grams) of Complete Food per
day, you get 30, 1/2 ounce servings or a whole month's supply for only
$1.67 per serving.
That gives you the nutritional equivalent of 6 + servings
of fresh fruits and vegetables
per day. That folks, is one of the best nutritional bargains on this
planet.
You would surely spend more than $2 to $3 per day or more just on the
produce if you bought enough fruits and vegetable for six servings per
day. And that doesn't account for your preparation time, waste and spoilage.
